Measuring principle
Extremly precise optical position measuring and object tracing.
Encoded patterns attached to the patient are mapped, detected and decoded by means of special cameras with integrated high performance computers. Highly complex mathematical image processing routines sharpen the position. Simultaneously, the rotation angle of the pattern is determined and the geometrical dimensions are calibrated. The position of each pattern can be followed in real time 100 times per second with an extremly high resolution in the range of 1/1000 mm approx.. All operations are carried out automatically.
With the unusual high resolution of the contactless measurement procedure in the range of few light wavelengths the instrumental functional diagnostics has reached the limit of the technically feasible today and a precision standard hardly held possibly.
